Vicky Kaushal's "Chhaava", initially set for a December 6 release, has been postponed to February 14, 2025, avoiding a clash with "Pushpa 2: The Rule".
Had "Chhaava" been released alongside "Pushpa 2", the latter would have likely suffered, as Bollywood would have elevated "Chhaava" while downplaying "Pushpa 2" in comparison.
It should also be recalled that Allu Arjun recently admitted and expressed gratitude for personally calling and requesting the "Chhaava" team to avoid clashing with "Pushpa 2", and their consideration of this request significantly helped his film.
So far, after 11 days of release, "Chhaava" has grossed approximately Rs 470 crore worldwide and continues to perform well at the box office.
The only misstep from the makers was not releasing the film in regional languages, which could have helped it break several records, even competing with "Pushpa 2".
