Today, the official trailer of "Chatrapathi" was released. Although it is a Hindi remake of Prabhas' old Telugu film, Bellamonda Sai Sreenivas has effectively pulled it off, and the film looks perfectly action-packed under the direction of VV Vinayak.
It is known that the original Telugu version of the film had a story set between Sri Lanka and India, whereas in the Hindi version, it was changed to Pakistan and India to suit the nativity.
The film with the same title was a blockbuster hit in Telugu under the direction of Rajamouli way back in 2005.
It remains to be seen if it will have a similar impact on the national box office, especially in the Northern circuit.
Bhagyashree appears as the protagonist's mother, a role that was played by Bhanupriya in the Telugu version.
Nushrratt Bharuccha is playing the female lead, replacing Shriya Saran from the original version. Tanish Bagchi has scored the music, while Pen Studios produced the film. The background score is done by Ravi Basrur of KGF fame.
The film is set to hit screens on the 12th of this month.
