Mahesh Babu starrer 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' didn't reach the expected range at the box office. But that didn't stop Mahesh Babu from hiking remuneration.
Mahesh Babu is one star who has been increasing his asking price for each movie irrespective of the result of his previous movie.
He took a whopping Rs 50 crore for “Sarkaru Vaari Paata”. For his next film with Trivikram, he demanded Rs 70 crore, and the producer Radha Krishna reluctantly agreed to his demand.
Sources say the negotiation about his remuneration was the reason why the film got delayed until now.
After much deliberation, the makers agreed to pay him Rs 70 crore as per sources. Instead of giving him a stake in the film’s production, the producer closed the deal with Rs 70 Cr paycheck.
The film will start rolling next month. Pooja Hegde will star alongside him.
