“Ruler” featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna is releasing this Friday but the film had had its share of hiccups and issues during the shoot.
Costume designers and production boys had to face the ire of Balayya. Even director KS Ravikumar didn’t escape from seeing Balayya’s temperamental nature up close.
As this is the second film in the combination of Balayya and director KS Ravi Kumar after ‘Jai Simha’, one would believe that they share a great friendship.
But a little birdie told us that KS Ravi Kumar had a major tiff with Balayya and even threatened to walk out from the foreign schedule.
Known for his temper and easily irascible nature, Balakrishna allegedly made some harsh comments on KS Ravi Kumar on the sets.
KS Ravi Kumar who had directed big stars like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Kamal Haasan in the past reportedly gave a fitting reply to Balayya on the sets and even stopped the shoot for few days.
Only after producer C Kalyan intervened and pacified the director the movie resumed its shoot.
KS Ravi Kumar had directed many hits and has hundreds of crores of assets in Chennai. He is one of the richest directors in South India.
