Has Nani quoted a hefty amount that caught a producer by surprise? Tollywood is abuzz with this report.
Many actors, not just Nani, have recently started quoting extremely high rates. Most heroes in Tollywood don't agree on a salary before filming begins. As the filming wraps up, they give a final quote and determine payment. Because of the urgent need to release the film, the producer has no choice but to agree to the actor's request.
Mahesh Babu's pay varies from film to film depending on its success.
Balakrishna sets a price and then asks for an additional 2–3 crores right before the film is released. With each new film, Ravi Teja earns a larger salary.
Pawan Kalyan’s asking price was around Rs 50 Crore. The producer thought he'd ask for another Rs 5 crore, but Pawan Kalyan demanded Rs 75 crore.
Nani gave the green light to a film starring a newcomer, and the producer promised to pay him his standard rate. But Nani estimated that the film's budget is going to be a lot less, and he demands a larger share of the profits. However, the producer has requested a reduction in that sum.
Most recently, Prabhas received an advance of Rs 45 crore from a major producer. However, the producer backed out after hearing the final amount (Rs 100+ Crore). Prabhas then approached two major producers, but they both turned down the project. At long last, another producer was willing to pony up the cash, and this kicked off the project.
Even some directors have begun to demand fat paychecks. A director known for making entertaining films is currently working on a film starring a senior hero. The director is requesting the Nizam and Vizag regions as payment for his services. That's right; from these businesses alone, he'll be bringing home a cool 20 crore rupees.
On the other hand, a prominent director was paid Rs 15 crore for doing nothing more than setting up the project and writing its script.
After the pandemic, salaries increased across the board. A small hero gets at least 4 crore rupees, and a hero of even average acclaim will ask for no less than Rs 8 crore.
