Aadi Saikumar has been showing consistency in delivering flops. "Athidhi Devo Bhava" was the first Telugu film to have released in the theaters in 2022.
The film not only turned out to be a flop but also gave a bad start to the Telugu film industry. It closed the shop in just a couple of days of its release.
"Athidhi Devo Bhava" was sold to Rs 1.30 crore. And the returns are meager Rs 25 lakhs. Whatever be the reason, despite the flop streak, his films do grab attention at the time of release. But he is not able to make those movies successful.
The producers of "Athidhi Devo Bhava" have released their film in most areas on their own. So, they have to bear the losses. And the film's non-theatrical rights are yet to be closed.
Many of Aadi Saikumar's recent releases have not yet closed satellite business deals as well.
Aadi Saikumar has announced that he would concentrate on the selection of stories henceforth. More than the stories, he should focus on selecting the team that executes the film well. Some of his movies had better concepts, but the narratives were boring.
He should give chances to the filmmakers who narrate stories effectively. He is missing that judgment.
