Breaking: 70% Layoffs In AP-TS Movie Theatres

Breaking: 70% Layoffs In AP-TS Movie Theatres

All the stand alone movie theatre owners in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have decided to retain 30% of the staff and lay off the remaining 70% with immediate effect.

There is a widespread belief among the owners that the theatres will not be opened for the next two months and even if they are opened, it takes ample time to see the patronage of audience like before.

So, keeping these assumptions in mind, the theatre owners/ management have taken this decision. They are in an opinion that they can rehire them once the theatres run in full swing.

Now the question is how the families of those who lose jobs will live? CCC has been extending help to the deserving underprivileged workers in film industry. But are the theatre employees brought under this roof?

The General Secretaries of the 24 Crafts associations in film industry have circulated messages to their members to provide details if they need the help extended by CCC for essential goods.

So, will there be any such system to help those fall under this 70% layoffs as well? CCC should answer about this.
