It is known that actor Prudhvi made unnecessary remarks, causing significant trouble for the film Laila.
In his speech, he mocked YCP supporters by cracking jokes about the party. In response, YCP’s social media team targeted the film and launched the #BoycottLaila campaign.
Alarmed by this, hero Vishwak Sen and producer Sahu Garikipati addressed the media and issued an apology. However, YCP supporters on social media remain unsatisfied.
YCP activists are demanding that Prudhvi either apologize or have his scenes removed from the film. It is reported that Prudhvi's phone was inundated with messages throughout the night, and at present he switched it off.
Additionally, the ongoing threats to boycott the film are causing concern for the Laila team.
"We will consider smooth release of the film only after Prudhvi apologizes and his scenes are removed," a section of people threatening on social media.
It remains to be seen how it effects the fate of Laila.
