Box Office: Worst Opening In 10 Years Of Career

The Dasara season has ended, and Jigra has shown its true colors, marking a major flop in Alia Bhatt's career. Bollywood trade analysts report that this is the lowest box office collection in her 10-year career.

Jigra, which failed to meet expectations on its opening day, saw a slight boost during the Dasara festival but dropped sharply afterward. It never recovered.

The film had a net collection of Rs. 4.55 crore on the first day, Rs. 6.55 crore on the second day and Rs 5.7 Cr on third day. As of today, its occupancy has completely plummeted.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri’s movie "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala" is performing better in theatres with Rs 5.5 Cr, Rs 6.9 Cr and Rs 6.4 Cr in the first three days respectively.

Jigra fared even worse in Telugu states.

Despite promotional efforts by Trivikram and Samantha, and Alia Bhatt herself singing and dancing, the film didn’t resonate with the Tollywood audience.

With tough competition from Telugu films and the release of Vettayan, Jigra turned out to be a major setback, cementing itself as a flop in Alia Bhatt's career.
