Bollywood star Ajay Devgn feels the Hindi film industry is still trying to catch up with the changing preferences of audiences in the post-Covid era.
Speaking at the trailer launch of Raid 2, directed by Rajkumar Gupta, Ajay said, “We’re still figuring things out. We don’t fully know what will bring audiences to theatres and what won’t. But we have some understanding of how their tastes have evolved during the pandemic.”
He also pointed out that the growing exposure to international content has influenced viewers significantly.
“We’re adapting to that shift and evolving accordingly,” he said. Ajay emphasized that this uncertainty isn't exclusive to Bollywood.
“Some films are working, some aren’t — be it in Bollywood, the South Indian film industry, or even Hollywood. The situation is the same everywhere.”
