Hero Surya tried to do a straight Telugu film but that didn't work out. The heroes like Ajith and Vjay never tried in big way to do in direct Telugu.
Vikram tried many times but failed. Tollywood never encouraged other Tamil heroes like Simbu, Jeeva and Sivakartikeyan though they made an attempt.
Only Karthi is an exception to some extent. But all of a sudden Dhanush could break the ice and announce two direct big films in Telugu.
It will be wrong if we understand that he came to Telugu for not being busy in Kollywood.
His career is in peaks in Tamil and he has huge following as the son in law to Rajni Kanth as well.
He is also doing films in Bollywood and Hollywood. Then why did he come to Tollywood?
Sources reveal that it is not the wish of Dhanush to step into Telugu, but some producers have forcibly brought him here to put checkmate to the whims and fancies of local Telugu stars.
Almost all the Telugu stars have increased their remunerations irrespective of their success track record.
All these years only the names of Mahesh, Pawan and Ravi Teja used to be heard in this list.
But now even the mid range heroes also hiked up their pay packs. Nothing much is going to be the margin for the producers even if the films become blockbuster hits.
So, to put a check to these heroes the producers brought Dhanush from outside knowing that he is highly producer friendly. He compromises on remunerations unlike other stars.
But who are the heroes going to suffer with Dhanush's impact on Telugu market? Only the time will tell.
