The recently released “Ramaraju for Bheem” teaser that depicted NTR as Komaram Bheem has stirred controversy.
Depicting Komaram Bheem in a Muslim cap and applying surma to eyes has not gone well with Hindutva and Adivasi organizations.
These organizations have been demanding Rajamouli to delete the visuals of showing Bheem in a Muslim avatar as it was a total distortion of history. Now, Sone Rao, the grandson of Komaram Bheem, also raises a red flag.
He said Rajamouli should have approached their family before filming the film, RRR.
In “RRR”, NTR plays freedom warrior Komaram Bheem, and Ram Charan essays the role of another freedom warrior Alluri Sita Ramaraju. Komaram Bheem fought against the Muslim kings.
Sone Rao says he was offended by NTR’s teaser. He requests Rajamouli to withdraw the teaser and release a new one sans NTR in the Muslim get-up.
The teaser of “Ramaraju for Bheem” from RRR has garnered 22 million views since its release.
