Popular film actor-producer Bandla Ganesh, who is known for his loose tongue and controversial attacks on his political rivals, on Saturday made a sudden announcement that he has decided to bid adieu to politics.
Ganesh, who has been associated with the Congress party, has been an ardent fan of power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan.
Very recently, he picked up a bitter quarrel with YSR Congress party general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy, for the latter’s comments against Pawan Kalyan.
For quite some time, there has been a talk that he might become active in Jana Sena politics ahead of the next elections.
At this juncture, Bandla Ganesh made a surprising announcement on Saturday that he has decided to keep away from politics.
“Because of my family responsibilities, following advice from the members of my joint family, keeping in view the future of my children and finally, due to my works and business activities, I have decided to keep away from politics,” he tweeted.
Ganesh said he has no enmity or friendship with any political party.
“All are close to my heart and my well-wishers. All of them are equal to me. If any political leader was directly or indirectly hurt by my attitude earlier, I wish they will all forgive me with a larger heart,” he said.
Bandla Ganesh, who has entered politics in 2018, joined the Congress party. Though he had been busy with his business activities and film making, he used to regularly attend the party activities. But now, he decided to call it quits.
It remains to be seen whether he has taken the decision on his own or he has been facing any threat from any party.
