Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati are the only cinema personalities who are not making any noise about the release date. Their third collaboration is “Akhanda”, which is on the verge of completing its shooting.
Will it release for the Dussera festival? No chance. Will, it hit the theaters for Deepavali? That is Balayya’s plan. But before deciding the date, Balakrishna wants clarity on theater issues like ticket prices and four shows with 100% seating capacity in Andhra Pradesh.
In Andhra Pradesh, theaters are still running with 50% occupancy as the government has not granted permission yet. The government was about to take a positive decision, but Pawan Kalyan’s speech has spoiled everything.
A team of producers including Dil Raju, DVV Danayya, UV Vamshi, and Naveen Yerneni met Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani and disowned Pawan Kalyan’s speech. They informed the minister that Pawan’s remarks are his own.
But the government will not take any decision about ticket rates until this whole issue subsides. Balakrishna’s plans of releasing “Akhanda” were spoiled by Pawan Kalyan’s remarks.
