The box office tally for March has wrapped up, with only "Tillu Square" making a notable impact. Now, as April kicks off, what are the standout movies to watch for this month?
Initially anticipated for release this month, "Devara" has been postponed, making way for "Family Star" to hit screens this weekend.
Starring Vijay Devarakonda, this film is grabbing considerable attention, especially after the success of "Geetha Govindam," further fueled by the Vijay-Parashuram collaboration and Mrunal as the lead actress, under the production of Dil Raju.
Accompanying "Family Star," two other films, "Bharatanatyam" and "Manjummal Boys," are also releasing this week.
Notably, "Manjummal Boys" has created quite a buzz in Malayalam cinema, emerging as the fastest Malayalam film to cross the 100 crore mark and already grossing over 200 crores worldwide, now being brought to Telugu audiences by Mythri Movie Makers.
The second week sees the simultaneous release of seven movies, including "Gitanjali Malli Vacchindi," "Sriranganeethulu," and "Love Guru."
"Gitanjali Malli Vacchindi" serves as the sequel to the original film, with Anjali reprising her role, while Suhas returns to the screen with "Sriranganeethulu."
In the third week, "Sasivadane" and "Parijathaparvam" hit theaters, both generating buzz with their promotional materials despite being smaller productions.
As the month progresses to its fourth week, "Love Me" and "Ratnam" enter the fray.
"Love Me," from Dil Raju Productions, follows the success of "Balagam," featuring Ashish and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, with top technicians contributing to its production. Alongside this horror romance, Vishal's "Ratnam" adds to the cinematic offerings of the week.
There's also speculation surrounding the release of "Aa Okkati Adakku" within the same month, originally slated for March with Allari Naresh in the lead, its release has been delayed without a confirmed new date.
Overall, "Family Star" stands out as the most anticipated release of the month, but any unexpected successes would undoubtedly delight audiences.
