The situation of film tickets in Andhra Pradesh seems to be arriving at a conclusion. The distributors and exhibitors met Minister Perni Nani.
They have submitted a request letter explaining what rates of tickets would make them do break-even.
Though the rates are not at all fulfilling the desire of the producers, they have no other go than requesting in a compromising tone.
Keeping the Court's decree in view point a committee was formed. The government should conduct meetings with this committee and declare the rates being considered by them.
Already the year is ended. So we have to see when will be the first meeting regarding this. After the minutes of the first meeting, another one has to be conducted in a gap of two or three days.
Only after that the report can be issued to get the consent of the Minister. All this procedure should be followed to release a fresh GO. If that comes before January 7th, then it will be helpful for RRR.
Otherwise situation will be bad for the collections of this film in AP. The market of this film in AP is Rs 140 Cr. So to meet the requirement, the present ticket rates cannot help in any way.
Right now the government rides on theaters have come down. It's only RRR that should decide the fate of film theaters which were already shut for the reason of no films in hand and unpleasant ticket rates.
