'Animal' Censor Review: Shocking And Gruesome Violence!

Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna's "Animal" have stirred up a buzz on social media, generating excitement among fans since the release of its official trailer.

Directed by the controversial Sandeep Reddy Vanga and featuring Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, and others, the action thriller has received an 'Adult Certificate' from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) and has now been reviewed by the BBFC.

On their official website, the BBFC has given "Animal" an '18' rating and described it as having 'strong blood violence.'

The film is characterized as a dark Tamil language action drama depicting a man's relentless pursuit of twisted revenge at all costs, with sustained and gory fight scenes, thematic domestic abuse, and isolated moments of s*xual abuse.

The BBFC has assigned "Animal" 5 points in violence and injury detail, 4 in language, sexual violence, and s*xual threat, and 3 in s*x, threat, and horror.

The review highlights scenes of brutal violence, including the use of a knife to saw at another's throat, the murder of two prisoners with meat cleavers, a frenzied stabbing, and several instances of domestic abuse.

In a major spoiler, the BBFC reveals a scene in which a bloodied murderer lies on top of his new wife in front of wedding guests, implying his intention to rape another woman.

Additionally, a man is depicted having s*x with a woman as part of a ruse to make her fall in love with him, after which he humiliates her.

The review raises questions about whether "Animal" follows the lines of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's previous films, "Kabir Singh" and "Arjun Reddy," which faced criticism for their toxic masculinity and misogynistic plots.

Only time will reveal if "Animal" is a typical Sandeep Vanga film or not.
