Popular anchor and actress Suma Kanakala took to social media to clarify her involvement in a real estate company's cheating case.
Raki Avenues, a Rajamundry-based company, recently duped customers after collecting money with the promise of building houses at affordable prices.
The company reportedly collected Rs. 88 crores from the public.
Suma Kanakala was a brand ambassador for this real estate company. Some customers claimed that Suma's endorsement attracted them to the company.
In the recent past, many actors faced similar problems when the brands they endorsed landed in trouble. Suma claims she stopped endorsing the brand six years ago.
“It has come to my attention that certain advertisements featuring my past association with Raki Avenues have been circulating on social media. I had offered my professional services for an agreed period from 2016 to 2018, and this association has since been terminated. I would like to clarify that these advertisements are now unauthorized, and I do not in any instance represent Raki Avenues after the aforementioned period,” she posted.
She added, “I am addressing this issue and taking appropriate legal action against all related parties to resolve it. Recently, I have received legal notices from the purchasers of properties from Raki Avenues, and I have replied to their notices as well. In the legal notice sent to Raki Avenues, I have asked them to address the grievances of the purchasers too.”
