TV anchor turned actress Anasuya Bharadwaj got miffed with the media reports that she is essaying Silk Smitha’s role.
She has dismissed reports that she is part of a biopic based on the life of yesteryears actress Silk Smita, who died by suicide in 1996.
“I am not playing Silk Smita garu in any biopic,” she posted the message on social media, clearing all the doubts.
A couple of days ago, Anausya shared a photograph from the shoot of her maiden Tamil movie. In the black and white photograph, she looked like Silk Smitha, and this led to media reports.
In Bollywood, Vidya Balan did the role based on Silk Smitha's life in the blockbuster "Dirty Picture".
