Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, has taken the box office by storm, surpassing expectations with remarkable numbers.
The film was anticipated to open well given the buzz, but its actual performance has been even more impressive.
In a recent milestone, Amaran entered the ₹100 crore club at the worldwide box office within just three days.
The Kollywood biographical action thriller opened to positive reviews from critics, and strong word-of-mouth among audiences has fueled its steady run.
On its second day, the film experienced only a slight dip, and Saturday saw an uptick in collections, outperforming its opening day numbers.
In India, Amaran had an outstanding Saturday, especially in Tamil Nadu, and enjoyed strong support in the Telugu states, grossing ₹22.15 crore net on day 3, compared to ₹21.80 crore on day 1. This consistency suggests the content has resonated well with audiences.
So far, Amaran has reached ₹63.25 crore net (all languages) in India, translating to ₹74.63 crore gross domestically.
Overseas, the film is also performing strongly, bringing its total gross from abroad to ₹35 crore. Combined, the worldwide box office total stands at ₹109.63 crore gross.
With this figure, Amaran has become the fifth highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024 globally, surpassing Aranmanai 4 (₹100.24 crore gross) and Maharaja (₹109.13 crore gross).
