Amala Akkineni, an accomplished actress, humanist, and educator, recently unveiled the teaser for Honeymoon Express.
The film's four-song album, released on T-Series, has already been gaining significant attention.
Composed by Kalyani Malik, with the title song performed by Spoorthi Jithender, each track has resonated with the audience, and the viewership is growing daily.
Director Bala Rajasekharuni and the Honeymoon Express team met Amala Akkineni at Annapurna College of Film & Media in Annapurna Studios for the teaser launch.
Bala, who resides in Los Angeles, shared his thoughts, saying, “Annapurna Studios holds a special place in my heart. After living in the US for many years, Amala and Nagarjuna Akkineni brought me back to India to serve as the Dean of Annapurna College of Film & Media. With their support, I embarked on my first Telugu film, Honeymoon Express. The faculty, students, and alumni of Annapurna College have made up the main crew for this film.”
He continued, “Akkineni Nagarjuna garu, my mentor, launched our first look poster. Therefore, I felt it would be fitting for Amala Akkineni to launch our teaser. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Akkineni family for their immense support to me and the Honeymoon Express team.”
Amala watched the teaser with the team and remarked, “Bala has been a professor of acting and screenplay in the US for a long time, but he always aspired to make a Telugu film. I am thrilled that his dream has come true. Teaching is one kind of endeavor, while making a film presents another challenge. I am pleased that Bala has involved our faculty, staff, and students in Honeymoon Express. They have gained invaluable practical experience.”
She added, “The teaser is funny and romantic, yet it offers a glimpse into a strong storyline about contemporary romantic and marital relationships. When Bala narrated the story, it felt very relevant to today's times. The film is set to release in theaters on June 21st, and I am confident it will be well received by the Telugu audience. Jointly produced by KKR and Bala Raj under the New Reel India Entertainments banner, Honeymoon Express features Chaitanya Rao, Hebah Patel, Tanikella Bharani, Suhasini, and Ali in key roles.
Described by Bala as a “futuristic romantic comedy with surreal twists,” Honeymoon Express is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 21st.
