Allu Arjun: Forgive Me If I Forget Any Name

Allu Arjun: Forgive Me If I Forget Any Name

Allu Arjun delivered an emotional and heartfelt speech at the grand success event of Pushpa 2, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the film’s journey, from those who worked for just five minutes to those who dedicated five years.

He humbly credited the team’s dedication while acknowledging his own responsibility as the face of the film, stating, “Hard work is yours, image is mine.”

He extended special thanks to ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya, saying that while many choreographers teach dance steps, Ganesh Acharya stands apart as someone who teaches performance and expressions as well. Appreciating his immense contribution, Allu Arjun acknowledged how much he had learned under his guidance.

He also thanked Devi Sri Prasad with words of high praise.

Addressing the support from across Indian cinema, he expressed gratitude to all film industries for standing behind Pushpa 2 and making it a truly pan-Indian success.

He emphasized that he didn’t want to forget any name and was trying to show his gratitude to everyone who had been part of this journey.

In a significant moment, he also made his stance clear on terminology, stating, “I don’t want to call it Bollywood; I would say Hindi cinema. I don’t like the word Bollywood.”

However, the most emotional part of his speech was reserved for Pushpa 2’s director, Sukumar. Allu Arjun said that mere words of thanks would never be enough to express his appreciation.

“I don’t want to thank Sukumar because ‘thanks’ is not enough. A director is the only one who can give a ‘hit’ despite having contribution from all faculties in filmmaking. If any song or lyric or anything is fine in the film, it is the taste of the director, but the credit goes to the technicians. I thank Sukumar for everything.”

As he called for a standing ovation for Sukumar, the entire crowd rose in unison, creating a powerful moment of admiration and respect.

Seeing Sukumar get emotional, Allu Arjun gently urged him not to cry, admitting that he, too, was struggling to hold back his tears looking him crying. Despite sounding overblown at times, his admiration for Sukumar came straight from the heart.

Sharing a glimpse of the journey behind the film, he recalled the relentless effort of the entire 500-member unit, who worked tirelessly for five years.

“I got relieved on the final day of the shoot. I wondered how about 500 unit members, including me, worked behind Sukumar for five years.”

The journey had been long and exhausting, but the result was a cinematic spectacle that resonated with audiences across the country.

Dedicating the success of the film to his fans, whom he fondly called his army, he promised to make them even prouder in the future. “This is a good step, but I want to make you all even more proud.”

Apologizing if he had spoken at length or missed anyone’s name in his acknowledgments, he made it clear that his gratitude extended to every single person who had been part of the film’s making.

As he concluded, he left fans thrilled with a subtle yet powerful tease about the future of the franchise. “I feel the energy of Pushpa 3. But I don’t know what is in it.”

The statement instantly sparked excitement, hinting at the another grand chapter in the Pushpa saga.

Throughout his speech he kept on saying "Forgive me if I forget any name to be mentioned".
