Naga Chaitanya's Thandel is performing well, nearing the breakeven point across all areas. However, the movie directed by Chandoo Mondeti faces an unfortunate setback as the movie was screened in an RTC bus.
In response, Allu Aravind stated, "In recent years, the efforts by the Film Chamber and producers have significantly reduced piracy. Unfortunately, in the last couple of months, piracy has resurfaced, starting with Dil Raju's Game Changer.
To tackle the issue, a dedicated cyber cell was established to combat piracy, with the cell working relentlessly to address the problem. The movie was screened on an RTC bus. We have already filed a complaint, and strict action will be taken. I urge everyone not to share piracy links online, as it's a criminal offense.”
On the topic of Ram Charan’s Game Changer controversy, Allu Aravind clarified, "I was trolled for my unintentional comments regarding Game Changer. At that time, I didn’t respond because it wasn’t the right moment. However, now I want to clear the air—my comments were never meant to belittle Ram Charan. They were directed at the challenges Dil Raju faced during the IT raids. There was no malice intended. Ram Charan is my nephew, and our bond is strong. Please move on from this."
Bunny Vasu stated, "We’ve bolstered the cyber cell within the Film Chamber, and OTT platforms have been instrumental in curbing piracy. However, piracy has unfortunately made a resurgence in the last two months. As producers, we put a great deal of effort into making these films. It’s disheartening that Thandel was leaked online while we were celebrating its success."
He also pointed out that piracy issues were first experienced by Pawan Kalyan with Atharintiki Daaredi, and they plan to approach him for support.
"We are also warning cable operators—any incidents of piracy will lead to legal action," he said.
The producers confirmed that they traced the leak to an overseas copy, emphasizing their commitment to addressing the growing piracy threat.
