The pandemic burdened 'Acharya' makers with a heavy toll of interests. Chirajeevi, Ram Charan and Koratala Shiva didn't take the remuneration.
Koratala took some amount only towards expenses incurred during the shoot. The marketing of the film has started and almost Rs 200 Cr is collected from the market.
The rights for Andhra Region are sold at Rs 50 Cr, Naizam for Rs 36 Cr and Ceded area for 17 Cr. The other areas and overseas rights fetched Rs 20 Cr. So, on a whole, the theatrical rights brought Rs 120 Cr.
Coming to the non theatrical rights like Digital, Satellite and Hindi dubbing brought Rs 70-80 Cr.
If three main people of any big film works without taking remuneration, it is really a big question if the cost of production crosses Rs 120-Rs 130 Cr including all the interests.
Here the two heroes and the director have to take at least Rs 100 Cr collectively. But that figure is not reached with the present situation of business.
When the heroes and the director are not able to see money in their pockets, the plight of the producer need not be explained.
