Director Mohanakrishna Indraganti is making films of different genres and is next release Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali is an emotional drama set in film backdrop.
The director in his exclusive interview with us clarifies there are no similarities between Sammohanam and AAGMC.
“These comparisons came because both the movies have cinema backdrop. But it’s a different story, with different screenplay and characters.”
Indraganti made an interesting revelation that he has plans of making a trilogy on cinema backdrop.
“While Sammohanam is a love story between a common man and a film actress, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi is the film from director’s point of view. I want to make a film on low-level technician. But that project will not happen any time soon.”
The director opines there is still negative opinion on the industry.
“I’ve seen many talking badly about the industry. Of course, MeToo impacted negatively on the industry. Middle class families are not ready to send females to films.”
Indraganti affirms AAGMC is the most emotional drama film he did till date.
“It’s my conscious decision to do an emotional drama. There are 3 to 4 intense scenes in the movie. However, the emotions are not over the top. Contemporary audience will like the movie. Particularly women will connect more.”
He also informs the movie has good dose of fun as well.
“Vennela Kishore’s is one of my favourite characters in recent times. He will appear as a co-director. His character is like a bridge between common people and industry. Srinivas Avasarala’s is also a fun character. The audience will also love Rahul Ramakrishna’s character.”
