The shooting of AA22 — Allu Arjun’s 22nd film, directed by Atlee — is yet to begin.
Although the project was officially announced on the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday, pre-production work is still underway.
As Atlee begins the casting process for the lead female roles, several names have started circulating in the media.
Initially, there were rumors about Priyanka Chopra being part of the film, but they were quickly debunked. Similar speculation about Deepika Padukone was also dismissed by the team.
More recently, fans speculated that Samantha and Keerthy Suresh might be part of the cast, with some expecting an official announcement on Samantha’s birthday — though no such confirmation was made.
Now, the latest buzz suggests that Mrunal Thakur and Ananya Panday have been finalized for two of the roles.
The film is reportedly set to feature three heroines in total. However, sources close to the production clarify that no actress has been officially signed yet.
Atlee is said to be in discussions with multiple leading actresses and will finalize the cast based on scheduling and availability.
For now, Mrunal Thakur and Ananya Panday are the most talked-about names in connection with the film.
