A Scene In Sabdham Moved Me To Tears: Nani

Hero Aadhi Pinisetty and director Arivazhagan, who previously teamed up for the super-hit Vaishali, are back together for another intriguing horror thriller, Sabdham.

The film's pre-release event was celebrated, with Nani attending as the chief guest.

Aadhi expressed his gratitude to Nani for attending the event, “This journey began 16 years ago with Vaishali. If not for Vaishali, Sabdham wouldn’t have been possible. Thanks to our director for believing in this project. Many advised me against doing a horror film, but I felt that, just like Vaishali, Sabdham would be a special film in my career. The most important person for this movie is our music director Thaman. Every film needs good sound, but when a film is titled Sabdham, the sound needs to carry significant weight. Technically, this movie is going to be brilliant, and I hope horror fans will love it. A big thanks to our producer 7G Shiva, and also to N Cinemas Lakshmikanth and Manju for releasing the movie here.”

Aadhi also shared an interesting insight about the film’s journey. He revealed, “The movie was sold to distributors only after we showed them the premiere. After the screening, I received countless messages from distributors expressing their excitement.”

When asked about his most memorable experience on the set, Aadhi shared, “We shot the climax sequence for 38 hours continuously in a single stretch. While I took short breaks between shots, the entire team worked non-stop for that sequence."

Nani, who has a strong rapport with Aadhi from their time working together on Ninnu Kori, also shared his thoughts on Sabdham.

“I’ve already seen the film. I haven’t seen such a technically high-standard movie in recent years. There’s a scene where a sugar cube falls into a teacup, and the sound is so eerie. The sound itself becomes a weapon, opening a new angle in the genre. A huge shout-out to the sound mixing team. Thaman’s music is outstanding, especially the title song and Maaya Maaya.”

Nani continued, “I’m a big fan of Eeram (Vaishali). This movie is on par with that one. Making such a film is tough. I also watch horror movies when I can’t decide what else to watch. There’s a flashback scene in Sabdham that shows Aadhi’s childhood and what happened to his mother, and how the music of her son becomes the reason behind it. I never expected a horror movie to move me to tears, but it did. It’s emotional. Horror movie lovers, go watch it with friends.”
