‘800’ is the biopic of iconic Sri Lankan cricketer Muthiah Muralidaran. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar recently released its trailer at an event in Mumbai.
Senior Tollywood producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies today announced that the cricket-based biopic will grace the theatres on October 6th. The movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi across India.
Announcing the date, Krishna Prasad said that '800' is laced with rich emotions. Its narrative blends sincere human drama with cricket.
The writing by Sripathy and team impressed Muralidaran so much that he changed his mind after exhibiting initial reluctance to consent to the biopic.
He is participating in the film's promotions because he feels '800' does full justice to his childhood and later stages of life in terms of storytelling.
Directed by MS Sripathy, ‘800’ has music by Ghibran. Madhur Mittal is playing Muralidaran. Mahima Nambiar will be seen as his onscreen wife.
Naren, Nassar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Riythvika, Vadivukkarasi, Arul Das, and others have also acted in the movie, which has been co-written by the Booker Prize (2022) laureate Shehan Karunatilaka.
