50% Occupancy Rule in Andhra Pradesh

50% Occupancy Rule in Andhra Pradesh

As expected, the Andhra Pradesh government took the key decision regarding occupancy in cinema theaters in the states.

The surge in COVID-19 cases is forcing all state governments in India to impose either curfew or partial lockdown.

In today’s review meeting on COVID-19, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy passed orders to implement 50 % of occupancy in all cinema halls in the theaters. The function halls should maintain a 6-ft physical distance.

For the past couple of days, the cinema theaters are registering almost nil collections owing to the fear of coronavirus. This 50 percent rule will be welcomed by the exhibitors as well.

The exhibitors in Andhra Pradesh are demanding the government revise the GO regarding ticket rates.
