It was revealed only recently that Varun Tej’s patriotic action-adventure drama Operation Valentine is based on the incidents before and after the Pulwama Attack in 2019.
Although the makers gave a different name for the mission for security reasons, they made sure the story stayed true to the real incidents.
Coincidentally, Hrithik Roshan’s Bollywood flick Fighter was also based on the same Pulwama Attack.
While Fighter directed by Siddharth Anand was mounted at a budget of 300 Cr, Operation Valentine which was helmed by debutant Shakti Pratap Singh Hada was made on just 40 Cr.
Obviously, when a high budget is spent, the visuals will be spectacular. Nonetheless, Operation Valentine despite a moderate budget for its genre has visuals of global standards, as witnessed in the trailer.
In fact, everyone was surprised to see the quality of making, top-notch technical standards, and gripping narrative.
It was a tailor-made character for Varun Tej who portrayed the character of an IAF officer brilliantly.
Surely, the buzz has intensified for Operation Valentine, after the release of the trailer which clocked over 16 Million views in Telugu and Hindi together and is still trending top.
We need to wait for another week for the real verdict from the audience.
