Year 2022 has seen several controversies and sensations connected to the film industry. Here are a few notable incidents.
Adipurush Trailer:
The trailer of Adipurush that was released this year received huge flak from all corners of the nation. The graphics used in the film and showing Ravan in a getup resembling a Taliban, the kind of weird vehicle given to him didn't go well with the public. The unit abruptly stopped the release plans and started reworking on the entire thing. This is the film that turned controversial with the trailer.
Garikipati-Chiranjeevi:
This is another popular controversy of the year where Garikipati Narasimha Rao spoke in an insulting manner with Chiranjeevi on the dais of Alai-Balai in Hyderabad. Though Chiranejevi took that light, his fans didn't leave the issue. They made it a huge controversy where many film celebrities also blamed Garikipati.
Pawan Kalyan- Perni Nani:
The issue that was started in 2021 also extended to 2022. Initially the film industry requested the government to increase the ticket prices but eventually demanded a reduction as the audience are not coming to theatres. Pawan Kalyan and Minister Perni Nani had a verbal tiff where each one called the other with cuss words.
Group politics among producers:
The producers called for strike and halted the film shoots. But this ended up as a controversy as a group of producers didn't cooperate with the strike. Dil Raju faced severe criticism for calling for the strike but continued to shoot his own film Varasudu. Though there were several demands to settle the doubts surrounding VPF Charges, OTT streaming rules etc nothing came to any conclusion except that of OTT releases.
Anasuya And Aunty Episode:
Anasuya tweeted something implying Vijay Devarakonda which made the actor's fans verbally attack her by calling aunty. To this, she reacted wildly and also approached the police on the grounds of body shaming.
Naresh-Pavitra:
The relationship between Naresh and Pavitra has become public this year. The third wife of Naresh made some allegations on him to which Pavitra gave strong replies. Later the social media started trolling this pair which made her approach the police to make the trolls stop.
Nayanatara's marriage and children:
Nayantara who heated up the gossip columns with her 7 years of love has finally got the nuptial knot this year. She announced about her motherhood within no time after her marriage as she got the children through surrogacy. The news became controversial owing to the surrogacy laws.
Rajasekhar's 'Sekhar':
Rajasekhar came up with the film "Sekhar '' this year but that got quagmired in controversies as the producers called for press meets seeking justice. The film stopped its shows on the second day itself and the issue continued for about a week.
Vishwaksen and Arjun Sarja:
Vishwaksen and Arjun Sarja had a controversy this year. Arjun called for a press meet to expose the character of Vishwaksen and how he troubled him with this indiscipline. To this Vishwaksen replied in another event giving explanation to what actually had happened and downed the curtain on the controversy.
Rashmika-Kantara:
Rashmika made some controversial statements about Kantara which ignited tension in Karnataka. There were rumors that Kannada audiences may boycott her films in the state. After settling this issue, she also made some controversial comments stating that Bollywood is the care of address for romantic songs while the south makes only item and dance numbers.
Deepika's Saffron Bikini:
Deepika's saffron-like bikini seen in the video song of Pathaan has become a controversy when a party's leaders claimed that it's the color of their party color which was shown as a bikini. Later, the film unit made it clear that it was not safforn but burned orange.
