Prabhas to shoot films one at a time due to unique looks

Prabhas is set for a hectic few months ahead as he transitions between multiple film projects, each with its own distinct cinematic world.

Having joined the shoot for The Raja Saab in Hyderabad in August, he also has Fauji, Spirit, and the Kalki 2898 AD sequel lined up. However, juggling these projects isn't an option due to the unique looks he sports in each film.

Currently, the superstar is filming Maruthi’s directorial venture, The Raja Saab, where he plays a common man who visits his ancestral property, inadvertently setting off a series of events.

A source reveals, “In this horror-comedy, Prabhas sports a distinct hairstyle. Due to this look, he cannot shoot for other films simultaneously. He is expected to wrap up this project by next month.”

Next, Prabhas will step back in time for Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauji, set against the backdrop of the Razakar movement, which resisted the integration of Hyderabad State into India.

The film unit began shooting last week in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, with Iman Esmail and Jaya Prada.

The source adds, “Prabhas will join the shoot in October. As he portrays a Razakar soldier, he will need to bulk up for the role. Since the film is set in the late 1930s, his appearance will be vastly different from his recent roles.”

The period action drama is set for a straight three-month shooting schedule.

This brings us to 2025. In February, Prabhas will grow out his hair to film the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be working on the script for Spirit, which is expected to begin shooting in April 2025.

“Just like he envisioned Ranbir Kapoor with two distinct looks in Animal [2023], the director has planned a unique avatar for Prabhas' cop character. Look tests will be conducted once the script is ready,” the source reveals.
