The movie 'Okka Magadu' brought great openings and that is known for all. As the film released in 51 theaters only in twin cities with huge speculation, the collections proved stunning and that is almost close to Rs 6.5 to 7 Cr as publicized. Moreover the collections bagged by black ticket vendors were stunning. It was said that a black ticket vendor who sold out tickets at Bhramaramba theatre bagged Rs 45,000 on the single day. That's really whopping and almost equal to that of a houseful collection for a show at any theater in Hyderabad. He works in a cycle mechanic shop close to that area. It seems that he sold out the tickets for special and morning shows at Rs 500 to Rs 1200 following the demand-supply formula.
Sources say that a black ticket vendor at Venkatadri Theater in Dilsukh Nagar bagged Rs 20,000 for selling tickets on the first day morning show making artificial hype.
An observation says that every other black ticket vendor earned something between Rs 2000 to Rs 10000 basing on the area where the theater located and the quality of crowds comes there. Auto drivers and pan shop wallas who wished to watch the movie bought the morning show ticket on release day for Rs 200. So, just imagine how software engineers would have shelled to watch the movie being a fanatic favorite of Balayya.
The first day of 'Okkamagadu' fed many people like that. But now many theatres are seen vacant.
