The much-awaited Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi in the direction of Vamsi Paidipalli is scheduled for a summer release.
Three big producers have joined hands for this project. But the worrying actor is the film seems to be going well over the planned budget because of lavish overseas schedules and huge number of working days.
Even with a single producer, keeping a check over finances is difficult and in most cases, the producer is nothing but a glorified cashier. This film has three producers and who will call the shots? Who can exercise absolute authority?
Besides, Vamsi Paidipalli has a reputation for throwing caution to the winds if unchecked.
Producer PVP said that Oopiri had a great run at the box-office but didn’t break even as the film went way beyond budget. It was a classic case of ‘Operation success but patient dead’.
Maharshi would do well to avoid going down that route.
