If the corona crisis continues for long, the business deals of all big movies will be renegotiated.
The makers of “Vakeel Saab”, “Acharya”, “Prabhas 20” and other big-ticket movies are expecting a huge setback in their projected pre-business figures. But more than these producers, it is Danayya who is worrying a lot.
Rajamouli himself told the media that the corona effect will last for another two years. He said we have to wait and see how business trends go hereafter. When the pre-release business opened for this film, producer Danayya was flooded with staggering offers.
Dil Raju gave an advance to Danayya for the Nizam region for a whopping Rs 75 crore. Sai Korrapati offered Rs 60 crore for Ceded and Vizag region.
The deal was sealed for West and East Godavari regions for Rs 35 crore, and Mythri had agreed to distribute the film in Krishna for Rs 15 crore. Guntur and Nellore were sealed for Rs 27 crore. Altogether, Danayya almost closed the business for Telugu states for whopping Rs 210 crore.
All these prices were agreed upon when the industry was brimming with hope and prospects looked bright. The world has changed after the coronavirus outbreak.
All these distributors who vied to bag the rights will now demand renegotiation and cut the prices. This is what worrying producer Danayya.
“RRR” is being directed by Rajamouli with an estimated budget of Rs 350 crore. NTR, Rajamouli, and Ram Charan are taking home huge remunerations besides a stake in profits.
Now, Danayya is a worried man. He needs to wait for another six months to assess how things would turn out for this movie.
