Gone are the days when directors used to rule the Tollywood. Star heroes took everything into their hands and have started to change the script according to their tastes.
This is not a new culture in the industry and the producers don't bother if that film performs well at the box-office.
What happens when differences arise between a hero and director in the initial stages itself? The answer to this question is Naga Chaitanya's latest movie Durga, which has been shelved.
Srinivasa Reddy has directed couple of low-budget hit movies and later on made Damarukam with Akkineni Nagarjuna. Though that film didn't create any magic at the ticket-window, Nagarjuna was pleased with Srinivasa Reddy's directorial skills and offered him a chance to direct Naga Chaitanya.
However, things took a different turn and differences aroused between Chaitanya and the director over the script.
Chaitu went one step ahead and asked the producer to change the director. With no option left, producer had to cancel the film.
Srinivasa Reddy has worked 8-9 months on the script and the film nagar people are blaming chaitanya for his attitude.
Nagarjuna has always respected the directors and most of the industry people are in a thought that Chaitanya should change his attitude and learn to respect the directors.
