Salman Khan's Bollywood film 'Sultan' smashed all records in the opening collections. It created a history as the movie grossed Rs 200 Cr worldwide in just three days.
Now Rajinikanth is coming to smash the records set by “Sultan”. Right now everyone in South India is talking about or discussing “Kabali”.
The film is expected to take humongous openings and fare far better than Salman Khan’s movie. So the trade as well as the movie’s producer Kalaipuli S Thanu is confident that it would gross more than Rs 200 Cr in first three days beating Salman Khan's Sultan.
Rajinikanth’s “Kabali” is releasing worldwide in three languages – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi on 22nd July with the premieres on the 21st night in USA and some centers in Tamilnadu.
The producer claims that the movie would be releasing in 10000 screens across the world. But it is just a publicity gimmick. Truth is Bollywood big movies get more screens count than a South Indian movie.
Although Rajinikanth is much bigger star than Salman Khan in terms of popularity, but the movie won’t get more than 4000 screens worldwide.
The producer is claiming that it would be released in China in 4500 theaters. But fact is that “Kabali” didn’t yet to receive permission for release in Mainland China. So the count of 10000 screens is just a publicity trick.
Since the film’s tickets are being sold in Bangalore and other parts for two to three times higher than the normal ticket price, the gross amount on the first weekend would be phenomenal. But will it really cross Rs 200 cr in three day much like Salman Khan’s “Sultan”? Not possible.
