The audio launch of Mahesh’s 1-Nenokkadine is being planned in a big way. Not only will the audio release function be huge, it will also be novel, as per industry talk.
However, the release will not be on December 14 as announced earlier. Now, the date has been moved to December 22.
But one thing has to be remembered here. There has been a drastic drop in the sales of audio CDs. Though some films do celebrate Platinum Disc functions, the situation is not very encouraging. Being able to sell a lakh CDs is nothing short of a miracle these days.
Given this backdrop, makers of Mahesh’s ‘1’ are planning to take the audio to the audiences in a big way. Their intended target is to reach out to about 10 lakh people. There are serious doubts as to how the team will reach this magic number.
As per tinsel ville insiders, the team of the film has devised a new plan to meet their challenge. The audio launch function will be telecast live in various theatres and the makers are making efforts to this end.
A special kit will be given along with the ticket at these theatres. The audience will have to shell out the ticket price for the event. The makers are expecting at least 10 lakh people to watch the audio release function.
And that’s their strategy to reach their target. If they succeed in their plans, then Mahesh’s ‘1’ will be topper in audio sales!
