Tamil heroes Shimbu and Dhanush sang one song each in the film Thikka, thanks to music director S S Thaman, who generated a lot of interest among film buffs. Irony is that even Junior NTR sang a song for him in Kannada.
It is always a relief for a hero of one language to sing in other language films. But it doesn’t serve any purpose either for the film makers or those heroes. What would NTR achieve if he sings in Kannada films? While Kannadigas would not feel so excited to listen to his song, it would not entertain Telugu audiences who anyway do not watch the Kannada films.
But, how about NTR singing for other Telugu heroes in Telugu films? Just imagine NTR singing a song for Thikka movie. It would definitely be very crazy and audiences would relish this new talent of NTR.
So, when NTR can sing for other language heroes, why should he hesitate to sing in his native Telugu language films for other heroes? Though Dhanush and Shimbu lent their voices for a Telugu film, it would have been much more crazy if a superstar like NTR sings a song in that film!
