Before signing Anupama Parameswaran, director Sukumar did auditions for several actresses for his period romantic drama with Ram Charan. Rashi Khanna was one of them. Rashi thought she was finalised but the offer went to happening actress Anupama.
In a sudden twist, Anupama Parameswaran is removed from the movie, according to reports. Inside sources say she is going to be replaced by a leading actress. The team is already said to be in talks with Samantha and Rakul.
Anupama was selected by Sukumar as he believed that she would be apt as a village belle. But the producers, hero and other well-wishers of the team have come to the conclusion that the pair of Charan and Anupama is not exciting. Later Sukumar is also said to have come to the conclusion that Anupama is looking much younger opposite Ram Charan.
Another reason is that a big heroine would bring additional craze to the combination of Ram Charan and Sukumar, they reportedly felt. So, Anupama is removed from this for this reason. She has also agreed to cut her pay to act opposite Charan despite three of her movies have become hits. Still, she got rude shock from the team after announcing her name officially.
