Karthikeya is the surprise hit of 2014. But the producer of the film went through financial troubles and he was bailed out by financier Siva Kumar.
So, he had to give away half of the profits to him. However, he still had money problems and that was when a big politician belonging to Rayalaseema bailed him out.
The said politician who recently shifted parties happens to be a close friend of the producer and he is said to have helped the film to release.
Thanks to him, Tollywood managed to get a good hit.
As Rao Gopala Rao said in Muthyala Muggu, life for Rayalaseema politicians cannot be faction wars only. They have to support art and entertainment once in a while.
