This point has been proved time and again. Yet again, this matter may be proved once again in the case of ‘Robo’. In few hours, we will know whether ‘Robo’ is a hit or a flop. If it manages to beat everyone’s suspicion and scores a hit then it is good but what is the situation if the film flops?
Though there is no direct financial transaction between us and the film, the very thought that if ‘Robo’ flops is giving a stop to the heartbeat for one minute. Those who have spent 200 or 300 by paying advance in haste may well be cursing themselves in whatever languages they know. In that case, what will be the situation of those who have invested lakhs and crores on the film? The producers of the film Sun Movies made a systematic promotion that they spent Rs 130 crores and they have made business in that range only. In our Telugu only, without audio and satellite rights, they have done business of Rs 27 crores. So if both are added then ‘Robo’ value is more than Rs 33 crores. In that case, the business might be double in Tamil. By showing Aishwarya and Rahman they must have made good money in Hindi as well. With Kannada and Malayalam also, they must have easily pocketed Rs 10 crores.
In view of all this, what’s the status if the film flops? Just the thought gives goosebumps. That is why, if not for Rajini or Aishwarya, atleast for those who have bought the film let us wish that this film doesn’t flop.
Because if that happens then it will be considered as a small size national calamity for sure.
