Even NTR biopic movies could not attract overseas audiences. But an out-and-out mass entertainer like “Akhanda” has collected big money in the USA.
Director Boyapati’s movies have never worked for the Telugu audiences in the USA, but this movie has grossed more than 800k in the extended weekend.
“Akanda” premiered on Wednesday with a massive 300k plus. That itself did the trick, and it continued the momentum. After Krish’s “Gautamiputra Satakarni”, this is the biggest gross for a Balakrishna starrer.
