Hero Sunil's latest release 'Mr Pellikoduku' has opened to a very poor response on the first day of its release. The movie has received a dismal response from the audience in the matinee and evening shows across all the release centers. Apparently, Sunil has pinned lot of hopes on this film and if 'Mr Pellikoduku' has turned a hit then, the actor could have scored a hat-trick at box office. All his dreams were shattered by a single flop and Sunil is under lot of scrutiny now.
If Sunil's recent hit 'Maryada Ramanna' worked because of Rajamouli's magic then what went wrong for the actor who pulled off movies 'Andala Ramudu' and 'Poola Rangadu' with his hard work to taste a failure with Mr Pellikoduku?
Here goes the story. Sunil's 'Poola Rangadu' and 'Andala Ramudu' scripts have the inputs from the actor's close friend and director Trivikram Srinivas. That's not all, Trivikram has also penned a few dialogues in 'Andala Ramudu' which made Sunil to taste his first commercial success as a comedy hero. But, in the case of 'Mr Pellikoduku', Sunil neither approached Trivikram for any changes nor requested his feedback on the script and hence this flop result, says the buzz.
Billed to be a comedy entertainer, 'Mr Pellikoduku' lacks entertainment and the weak screenplay with lackluster performances from Sunil and Isha Chawla were out rightly rejected by the audience. And insiders feel Sunil should consult Trivikram from his next film else it will be a tough job for him to sustain as a hero. Let's see how it goes for Sunil.
