Thandel: A Rs 80 Crore Bet On Naga Chaitanya

The movie 'Thandel' is being produced by Geetha Arts with the combination of Nag Chaitanya and Chandu Mondeti.

This film tells a story that spans from Srikakulam to Pakistan and is being produced in a highly prestigious manner with no compromises.

From the start, it’s clear that this is a big budget film, and the sources are now saying that it’s even bigger than initially anticipated. The estimated cost of the film is expected to exceed Rs 80 crores.

Naga Chaitanya's movies have never been as grand as this one.

While the income from OTT and Hindi rights is comparable, betting 80 crores on Naga Chaitanya is a significant commitment.

The OTT rights have already been sold at a good rate, which covers a substantial portion of the costs.

Hindi dubbing rights are still to be sold, and once audio and satellite rights are finalized, the theatrical bet will be at around twenty crores, with potential for further profits if the film scores a hit talk.

The film's cost is increasing due to key scenes set at sea, extensive CG work and the need for large-scale sets.

Nevertheless, producers Allu Arvind and Bunny Vaas are moving forward with confidence in the subject. This film marks director Chandu Mondeti's next project following Karthikeya 2.
