Prince Mahesh Babu received rousing reception from the villagers of Burripalem of Tenali mandal in Guntur district, which was adopted by him. He laid foundation stone for various developmental works worth more than Rs 2 crore in Burripalem.
Though his fans and locals took part enthusiastically in his programme, one could see a lot of hungama by the Telugu Desam Party leaders. They put up large scale hoardings all over the village and covered the entire village with yellow flags.
Thereby, they tried to own Mahesh Babu by making these arrangements. Needless to say, the main reason for the TDP show was Mahesh Babu’s brother-in-law and local MP Galla Jayadev.
During the 2014 elections, Mahesh campaigned for Galla, albeit through social media and asked his fans to vote for his BIL.
However, he did not take the name of TDP during this campaign. Yet, the TDP leaders are seeking to own Mahesh Babu.
It may be mentioned that before 2014 elections, Mahesh name was used first by the Congress party and later YSR Congress party.
When YS Rajasekhar Reddy was alive, Krishna was very close to the Congress party. His brother Adiseshagiri Rao also enjoyed the post of AP Film Development Corporation chairman.
And in the recent past, Mahesh personally attended a film awards function held by Sakshi owned by Jagan, though the function has no significance. Under these circumstances, it is interesting to see the TDP owning up the Prince so much now!
