If a film is bad, even superstar Rajnikanth cannot save it. Disasters in the form of Kochadiyan and Lingaa proved this. Both of them were high budget movies and tore the pockets of distributors.
Now, directors Shankar and Murugadoss are believed to be trying for Rajini’s dates. Both of them are top, proven directors and Shankar has already done two films with Rajni, Shivaji and Robo and both blockbusters. Surprisingly, it is Rajni who is said to be not in favor of working with either director.
Both these directors make their films on a huge and lavish scale. Coupled with Rajini’s remuneration, the budget of the project could easily turn out to be an astronomical amount.
Not that it is a problem for Rajni but after two big flops, he wants to do a movie on a much smaller budget with lesser risk involved.
C Sundar, a director famous for small films and comedies might get to direct the superstar soon.
