It was during the release of the film ‘100 Percent Love’ when director Sukumar came up with a sensational statement that the Telugu audience has not grown enough to understand and watch his films. It’s a different issue the film became a hit but now he is arriving with the film ‘1-Nenokkadine’ starring Mahesh Babu.
And discussions in filmnagar circles are that Sukumar has lost his juices as a creative director. In the name of perfection, the film got dragged for more than a year and doubts are being expressed on its result. The fact that Sukumar is also turning producer is strengthening the suspicion that he cannot handle big heroes.
Sukumar is teaming up with one Aduri Thomas Reddy and making a film with debutantes under the direction of Surya Prathap of ‘Current’ fame. This is being made under Suku’s home banner Sukumars Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
Other producers are eagerly waiting to see whether Suku will be successful in this or not.
Well, for someone who feels public has not evolved to watch his films, it is ironical to see him approach them with a small budget flick.
