Hyderabad: If a hero or a director promises to do a movie for somebody and accepts the advance offered then they should be bound to it. No need to make agreements on paper for everything as film industry mostly runs on trust and mutual respect.
Most of the heroes and directors do their best to keep their promises. They don’t cancel a project unless the producer itself calls it off.
However, few are an exception to this. Not everybody keeps their word and honor the promise. One of our top Telugu heroes is known for cancelling such deals if something better and promising comes up.
As per film circles this top hero accepts advance from any producer that approaches him. He makes them wait for years and finally returns that money without doing a film for them.
He will not even add any interest to it in spite of not returning the money for many months or years in some cases. The hero uses the advance payments for rotating his finances so that he never needs to spend a penny from his savings.
Poor producers pay him huge amounts in advance hoping that he will certainly do a movie for them. But the hero has invented a new style to cheat his producers to keep his assets intact.
