We are well aware that writers often take inspiration from other writers and this is a common phenomenon world over.
Of late, our Telugu film writers have been drawing inspiration from English and Korean films. Since they copy on the sly, the plot is not revealed till the last minute and by then there could have been more than one film with a similar plot in the making. The party which makes a good copy manages a hit, while the other is left wondering as to what could have gone wrong.
Right now, the latest rumour in Film Nagar is that Ram Charan’s Govindudu Andari Vaadele and Ram’s Pandaga Chesko have a similar plot. Incidentally, both the films are being shot simultaneously.
Since the word is out, Ram’s producers are a worried lot now as Ram Charan will surely have an upper hand as he is a bigger hero with a huge fan base. So, they are now trying to make some changes to their plot so that it evolves into something different.
In the past, while one producer made Lakshmamma Katha, the other one made Srilakshmamma Katha and Lakshmamma Katha became a hit.
Obviously, the audience can only watch one film with a similar plot, the other film will have to bear the brunt of being a copy.
